Faith Community Health Day proclaimed Aug. 16

City of Branson Mayor Karen Best read a statement proclaiming Aug.16 Faith Community Health Day during the clinic’s breakfast fundraiser at The Great American Steak and Chicken House in Branson. State Sen. David Sater, in absentia, issued a Missouri Senate resolution recognizing Faith Community Health for the affordable healthcare it has been providing for uninsured workers in Stone and Taney counties. FCH held its fundraiser during National Health Center Week, Aug. 13-19.

“We have raised about $4,800 with contributions still coming in,” says Kenn Tilus, executive director of FCH. “We had fun with this benefit, using a campaign theme in an off election year and featuring the amazing Jim Barber with his humorous impersonation of ‘Donald Trump.’”

Tilus says, “It was another opportunity to share with our friends in the Branson area about the role FCH plays in providing affordable healthcare for many hardworking people who earn too much for Medicaid and too little for Obamacare.”

Speaker at the fundraiser Tess Rolf said, “Faith Community Health has been an absolute lifesaver and answer to prayer for our family. (We) could have never met these real healthcare needs without a community like Branson and an organization like Faith Community Health.”

FCH wishes to thank Nolan and Babette Fogle of Fogle Enterprises for the venue, Dr. Michael Franklin for his DJ services and Simmons Bank of Branson for its sponsorship of the event.

FCH has served more than 5,000 patients and their families with quality, affordable healthcare. Tilus says while some of the clinic’s financial support comes from patient fees, donor support is essential to providing services.
