Committed to providing Stone and Taney Counties' working uninsured with quality, affordable healthcare and wellness education based on the individual's spiritual, physical, mental, and emotional needs.
About Us
All around the Ozarks, seasonal workers take on the hourly jobs that make our community work - bussing tables, cleaning hotel rooms, working behind the scenes in thousands of different tourism related jobs. These hard-working area residents suffer from a lack of healthcare mostly due to no insurance or inadequate access to traditional healthcare.
Individuals and organizations in Stone and Taney Counties recognized the need and decided a plan was essential to provide health care to the area's working uninsured. A partnership with the Ozark Mountain Family YMCA will provide the model for health and wellness. Along with this partnership, joining with medical professionals, service organizations, and countless volunteers, the dream has become a reality. Faith Community Health is providing much-needed health care to deserving people who live and/or work in Stone and Taney Counties.
The vision for Faith Community Health developed in the spring of 2007 as a health care catalyst group
recognized the need for affordable health care for the working uninsured of Stone and Taney Counties. Visiting
a successful faith-based health center in Memphis, Tennessee, the group decided in 2008 a similar model could
be duplicated in Branson. "We took what they were doing well, and made it just right for the Ozarks," says Board Chairman, Edd Akers.
FCH's Board of Directors provide crucial leadership that promotes progress
and guidance, which equates to sucessfully serving those in need.
