Area residents have raised more than $18,000 for Faith Community Health (FCH) through its second annual radiothon Dec. 1 with KRZK radio, 106.3 FM. Kenn Tilus, FCH executive director, said the focus of the benefit was to raise support to underwrite a third of the cost of patient care for 2,500 patients, or about $40 per patient. “About one-third of our revenue is from patient fees and another third is from foundation grants. The last third comes from our community members and organizations who donate,” he said. “Our community has reached out generously to workers and residents who are uninsured or underinsured in Taney and Stone counties.”
The fundraising campaign will continue through the end of the month. “The funds raised this month will be matched through a grant from the Skaggs Legacy Foundation,” Tilus said.
He said there are a number of ways to donate.
- Text donations at 855-945-0909.
- Online donations at faithcommunityhealth.org
- Facebook donations at Faith Community Health.
- Mail donations to Faith Community Health, 610 S. Sixth Street, Branson, MO 65616
